(21.2.2016) Brodarski at the Zagreb Boat Show

The 25th International Boat Show was held on 17 – 21 February at the Zagreb Fair. Brodarski institut was presented at the booth of the Croatian Chamber of Economy. World producers of boats, yachts, sailing boats, speedboats, scooters, kayaks, dinghies, marine engines and outboard motors, clothing and footwear, equipment and accessories for diving, fishing, sailing and other water sports exhibited their vessels and other nautics – related products. The Boat Show again proved to be an important business event where numerous marinas, charter companies, shipyards, schools, agencies, clubs, institutions and associations related to boating and nautical tourism offered their services.

(17.11.2015)The first official meeting of Teris cluster members held

On Tuesday, 17 November 2015, in Terme Tuhelj the first official meeting of the members and future members of the territorial cooperation cluster TERIS, whose partner, among others, is Brodarski Institut, was held. At the event, business cooperation was promoted with emphasis on cooperation between Slovenia and Croatia. It is the first cluster of this type, which is dedicated to offering overall support for the development, expansion and acceleration of European territorial projects. Mr. Ognjen Kuljača, PhD, Director General of Brodarski institut made presentation of the examples of good practice of Croatian-Slovenian cooperation on projects. TERIS and its mission have been already supported by Zdravko Počivalšek, Slovenian Minister of Economic Development and Technology and Siniša Hajdaš Dončić, Croatian Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure.

(15.10.2015)Brodarski Institute at ARCA 2015

The 13th International Exhibition of Innovations ARCA 15  has been opened today. The exhibition is organized by the Union of Croatian Innovators and will be held from 15th to 18th of October in Boćarski dom in Zagreb. The exhibition has brought together a large number of innovators and entrepreneurs from Croatia and the region. One hundred and seventy-one innovations have been presented for evaluation. They will be evaluated by the International Panel of Judges. Brodarski Institute also participates in the evaluation process. During the first three days the exhibition is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday, when the prizes will be awarded to the best innovators, it closes at 4 p.m. Admission is free for visitors.

(4.05.2015) Students from Delft visiting Brodarski institut

A group of 35 students of naval architecture from the Dutch Delft University, visited the Brodarski institut today. The visit is part of a study tour of Dutch Bachelor and Masters students of naval architecture. Under the guidance of their teacher, retired Rear-Admiral Ir. K. Visser, the guests were acquainted with the history and activities of the Brodarski institut and visited the most important laboratories: towing tank and cavitation tunnels, a laboratory for shock and vibration, hydro-acoustic laboratory and physical-chemical laboratories. When asked what motivated them to visit the Brodarski institut, the referred to the Croatian maritime reputation. Their study tour continues tomorrow when the students will visit Uljanik shipyard in Pula.
