(17 October 2016) Millennium Diamond ready for new season

The passenger catamaran Millennium Diamond is ready for the new season of winter cruises on the River Thames. In the third week of October, specialists from Brodarski Institute, Krunoslav Horvat, PhD, El.Eng. and Vedran Bakarić, MSc, El.Eng. were in Gravesend, England where the Millennium Diamond was docked for regular annual maintenance. On that occasion, the upgrade of the ship control and monitoring system I-CoMoS was made. The ship owner, tour boat operator City Cruises, uses the vessel for sightseeing of London from the Thames and for the night dining cruises. In the early November the peak of the winter tourist season starts and the culmination is expected during Christmas and New Year’s holidays. About 9 million passengers take sightseeing Thames River cruises every year, and by the year 2020 this number is expected to reach 12 million.
