Mission

The mission of Brodarski Institute is to use advanced technologies, knowledge, experience and references to develop innovative products and services for domestic and international markets and to give contribution to the development of the competitiveness of the Croatian economy, networking and connecting of researchers, and social welfare.

 

Vision

Our vision is to become a leading regional centre in the areas of maritime and green technologies.

 

Goals

  1. Continuously improve the competitive ability in all areas of activity.

  2. Improve quality of human resources through new knowledge and skills acquisition.

  3. Retain existing markets, expand into new markets, strengthen the market position and position itself as a leader in the region.

  4. Intensify activities in the European network of research and development.

  5. Establish a legal form that will allow placing of knowledge and experience of Brodarski Institute in the service of public interests and needs.

  6. Continuously improve internal efficiency in the execution of all business activities.

 

Organizational values

Brodarski Institute identifies three organizational core values, promotes them and manages its business processes in accordance with them:

  1. Excellence as a core organizational value of Brodarski Institute is reflected in the commitment to lifelong learning of its employees and in aspirations for innovation, not only in the process of creating products and services for customers, but also in aspirations for innovation in the system of management of Brodarski Institute as a complex research and technological organization.

  2. Teamwork is not only a quality, but it is also the premise of successful execution of each task performed by Brodarski Institute, with respect to its multidisciplinary character. Creating partnership with customers is of equal importance too.

Relationship with third parties

The basic principles of Brodarski Institute in relations with third parties rely on our social responsibility. Brodarski Institute as a state owned company and as a scientific institution is the true centre of technical sciences of the Croatian economy. In the scientific and higher education system of the Republic of Croatia, Brodarski Institute will remain a steady support in creation and training of professionals who with respect to their number and excellence will be able to meet the needs of the Croatian economy.

 

Policy on the integrated management system

BI policy on the integrated management system com- prises quality policy, environment protection policy and occupational health and safety policy. It is published and available to all employees, interested parties and general public.

 

Quality policy

Brodarski Institute's objective is to deliver to customers products and services of optimal quality and fulfill requirements, needs and expectations of customers and other interested parties. Brodarski Institute is completely oriented to customers from the existing and new domestic and international market. Customer satisfaction, determining their needs and expectations is our primary goal that we pursue to accomplish by product or service quality and on time. Quality policy is a part of the Brodarski Institute management policy, harmonized with identified needs and expectations of customers and interested parties as well as with the development policy of Institute's activities. The top management is committed to develop and apply the quality management system and continually improve its effectiveness as well as product and service quality. Effectiveness is permanently monitored, improvements are identified and performed at planned periodical audits. General and particular objectives are determined and are in conformance with quality policy. Fulfillment of particular objectives is reviewed on annular level. Top management provides monitoring, adoption and application of new technologies, implementation of changes and permanent training of employees according to detected needs, plans and programs. Quality policy is periodically reviewed to determine its permanent suitability.

 

Environment protection policy

BI is dedicated to implementation, consistent application and permanent improvement of the environment protection management system, applied to all activities, products and services as well as environmental aspects that can be influenced and controlled. BI is dedicated to continuous monitoring and prevention of environment pollution, according to legal regulations and established environmental protection objectives. BI develops the environmental protection system on the basis of legal regulations in the area of environmental protection and all other regulations that preserve and improve environmental conditions. Brodarski Institute recognizes the importance of training in environment protection and continually invests in technical training of employees at all levels and functions. Training has direct impact on awareness of environmental problems and gains their support in improvemen t of environment protection.

 

Occupational health and safety policy

Brodarski Institute provides systematical and permanent care for occupational health and safety of all employees, visitors and business partners through safe and healthy work environment. Occurrence of possible injuries and diseases is preven ted by monitoring employee health and safety, through planned training provided regularly and by checking their competence. Planned checks of work environmen are performed and conditions are improved on locations where necessary. Top management monitors efficiency of the occupational health and safety management system at management reviews. Improvements are introduced continually. Possible hazards are determined and risks, significant for occupational health and safety of employees, are assessed. Legal regulations and other requirements that have been established adequately to risks, are applied. Their compliance is checked at planned periodical reviews. Occupational health and safety policy is reviewed to determine its permanent suitability.
